Today (Nov. 1, 1995) Congress is to vote on a bill that would
make a certain type of abortion illegal. Known as the "Partial
Abortion Bill," this piece of legislation is expected to
pass both the House and the Senate with ease.
A "Partial Birth Abortion" is performed on second or
third trimester babies where the doctor delivers most of the babies
with instruments of death.
With all parts of the baby delivered except the head, the infant's
life is shamefully terminated. It is killed. As long as a portion
of the baby's body remains within the mother, it is not yet born.
Thus, this procedure is said to be ethical because "life
does not begin until birth," they say.
Does this sound sickening to you? We would think that even the
most extreme "prochoice" people would understand
that they are destroying a human being, Life begins at conception;
but should it not be overly obvious to all that they have destroyed
a precious little child whose arms, legs and body are in full
view as the Mad Scientist takes the innocent life?
Yes, we would think that all could see the hideousness of this
pitiful crime. However, one man has not seen it. We call him,
"The President." He has, according to news sources,
threatened to veto this "Bill" when it reaches his desk.
This, friends, is what the Bible calls "past feeling"
(Eph. 4:19). He and those who would vote to continue practicing
this lawlessness are well described with the words of Paul as
"having their own conscience seared with a hot iron"
(1 Tim. 4:2).
God says that he hates "hands that shed innocent blood"
(Prov. 6:17). Can you think of anything more innocent then a helpless
little baby? All murderers will have their part in the lake which
burns with fire and brimstone (Rev. 21:8). A mother's womb prior
to 1973 was the safest place a child could be. Now it is the most
dangerous as more than 1,000,000 will be slaughtered, butchered,
and burned in the year to come. Pray for the children! Pray for
our leaders! Pray for our country that it may turn itself to God!
"Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to
any people" (Prov. 14:34).
