The Greatest Thing In The World

The most important thing in the world is implementing the answer to the timeless questions: What must I do to be saved?

Your life is invaluable, and therefore should have no price tag on it. Jesus said, "What doth it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul?"

"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it."

The kingdom of heaven is the same as the church of Christ. Jesus came to build a church and he called that church "the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 16:18-19). The church belongs to Jesus, and not to humans. It is Christ's church, or the church of Christ (Romans 16:16). The kingdom of heaven or church of Christ is also called by other names in the New Testament.

The church is the body of Jesus. "[Jehovah] hath put all things under his [Jesus] feet, and gave him [Jesus] to be the head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all" (Ephesians 1:22-23).

Since the church is the body of Jesus, to be in the church is to be in Jesus; and to be in Jesus is to be in the church. The body is one (Ephesians 4:4); therefore the church is one.

Jehovah has put all spiritual blessings in the one body of Jesus. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ" (Ephesians 1:3).

Your personal salvation should be the highest priority in your life.

Personal salvation (redemption, forgiveness of sin, adoption into the family of God) is therefore the greatest thing in the world. Do not make the fatal mistake of ignoring it!
