Frequently Asked Question
Please explain the verse in Matthew 11:11 in which Jesus, talking
of John, says that "even the least of these is greater than he."
Jesus is obviously talking about greater in station and location and not
greater in work performed. He is saying that if a person is in the kingdom
of heaven, he has special priviledge and standing. The kingdom did not
exist in the days of John the baptist but was "at hand." The kingdom does
exist today and we can be a part of it. To be in the kingdom is greater
than not being in the kingdom.
