Frequently Asked Question

Question:
How, if God is all powerful, can Satan exist? Why would he allow Satan to exist? Is this implying that Satan is equally as powerful as God?

Answer:
God is all-powerful and therefore can allow whatever he wishes. If we say the power of God will not permit him to allow any given thing, we limit his power and deny his omnipotence. There may be much about the existence of Satan we do not know, but we do know that he is and that he works against the best interests of humanity. We may also know that he is powerless against us when we resist him with the revealed word of God (Matt 4:1-11; James 4:7).
