And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32

Notice that Paul said there is one body. So if there is only one body, what is this body?

Notice that this agrees with Jesus' statement "I will build my church…" Matt 16:18

John 15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
John 15:2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every [branch] that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
John 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
John 15:5 I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. {without me: or, severed from me}
John 15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned.

One vineyard

Don't see a picture of many vineyards being worked in such a way that they conflict with the welfare and growth of each.

Vine and branches

We don't see Christ as having a multitude of vines with multiple branches growing in such as way as to conflict with the growth of each other.
We see one great and beautiful vine, Christ, with every saved person a branch in him.
This contradicts what the world says.

Man says, trying to justify denominationalism says:

Vine = the original true church
branches = different denominations

Not true

Christ was speaking to disciples - instead of churches. He didn't say to "Abide in some branch" he said "Abide in me."

What does Jesus say the branch is in John 15:6?

Ridiculous to think that on the true vine grow:

  • grapes
  • watermelon
  • squash
